Some of the services we link to are partners who may pay us when you sign up through them. This doesn't change which ones we recommend. How this works.

Rewardful and FirstPromoter charge exactly the same prices: $49, $99, and $149 a month, or $490, $990, and $1,490 a year. Both offer a 14-day trial with no credit card. So the comparison isn’t about price at all. It’s about what each tool limits at the same price, and which billing platforms each one can read.

The short version: at $49/month, Rewardful lets your affiliates drive more revenue before you have to upgrade ($7,500/month vs. FirstPromoter’s $5,000/month), while FirstPromoter gives you three campaigns instead of one and unlimited team members instead of two. At $99/month the revenue caps are identical ($15,000/month). The deciding factor for many teams is billing: Rewardful works with Stripe or Paddle only, while FirstPromoter also supports Chargebee, Recurly, and Braintree.

At $49: Revenue Headroom or Campaigns and Seats

This is the tier where the two actually differ. Rewardful Starter covers up to $7,500/month in affiliate-driven revenue, 50% more than FirstPromoter Starter’s $5,000/month. But Rewardful Starter allows only one campaign and two team members, and it doesn’t include the branded affiliate portal. FirstPromoter Starter allows three campaigns, up to 1,000 affiliates, and unlimited team members, though custom domains and one-click PayPal payouts wait until its Business tier.

In practice: a single-product SaaS running one commission offer gets more room to grow on Rewardful Starter. A team that wants separate campaigns (say, a standard affiliate offer and a separate partner or customer-referral offer), or several people logging in, fits FirstPromoter Starter better.

At $99: Same Cap, So Look at Billing

Rewardful Growth and FirstPromoter Business both cap affiliate revenue at $15,000/month, both remove campaign limits, and both add a branded portal on your own domain. At this tier the question is almost entirely which billing system you use. If you bill through Chargebee, Recurly, or Braintree, FirstPromoter is the only one of the two that can track your revenue. If you’re on Stripe or Paddle, both work, and the remaining differences are smaller: FirstPromoter Business adds EU invoicing and two managed websites; Rewardful Growth’s step up to Enterprise raises the cap to $30,000/month at the entry price.

Rewardful: Simpler, Higher Starter Cap, Stripe or Paddle Only

Rewardful’s plans include unlimited affiliates and visitors, API access, and all integrations on every tier, and it charges no transaction fee on commissions. The one fee to know about is optional: its Managed Payouts service, which handles paying affiliates for you, carries a 3% processing fee. Paying affiliates yourself through PayPal or Wise avoids it.

  • Who should NOT use Rewardful: anyone billing through Chargebee, Recurly, or Braintree, since Rewardful only reads Stripe and Paddle. Also teams that need more than one campaign or more than two logins but don’t want to pay $99/month.
  • Who it’s right for: a Stripe- or Paddle-billed SaaS with one main affiliate offer that wants the most revenue headroom at $49/month.

FirstPromoter: More Room at Starter, Wider Billing Support

FirstPromoter includes unlimited team members and fraud detection on every plan, and its Starter tier’s three campaigns give more flexibility than Rewardful’s one. Its broader billing support is the bigger differentiator: alongside Stripe and Paddle, it lists Chargebee, Recurly, and Braintree. The trade-off is a lower revenue cap at $49/month, and some features, including managed automatic payouts and SSO, sit on the $149/month Enterprise tier.

  • Who should NOT use FirstPromoter Starter: a single-offer program already generating close to $5,000/month in affiliate revenue, which would hit the cap sooner than on Rewardful Starter.
  • Who it’s right for: a SaaS on Chargebee, Recurly, or Braintree, or a team that wants multiple campaigns and several people managing the program from the start.
